Help the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance make America teal! With our United States of Teal campaign we’re targeting all 50 state houses and asking legislators to pledge their allegiance to the fight against ovarian cancer.
But we need your help in raising awareness of this issue and letting elected officials know how important it is to you. Send a letter to the leadership in your state asking them to demonstrate their commitment to the cause by returning their United States of Teal pledge cards to OCNA. Use the template below as a starting point and then personalize it with your unique opinion and/or story.

I am writing you today to express my strong support for the fight against ovarian cancer and I encourage you to pledge your allegiance to the cause as well. You can do so by sending a United States of Teal pledge card to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. By doing this you’re confirming that you stand by me, one of your constituents, in advocating for greater awareness of, and attention to, ovarian cancer.
Few states have any laws regarding ovarian cancer and only one currently allocates research dollars specifically for ovarian cancer. Additionally, there is no screening test available for ovarian cancer, so a woman’s best chance of detection is to know and recognize the symptoms. That is why it is so critical that you and your colleagues help draw attention to this deadly disease and demonstrate your commitment to defeating it.
